Mineral Springs School Board Reviews Finances, Approves Homecoming Disclosures and Budget Adjustments

The Mineral Springs School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, covering a variety of financial updates and school-related business ahead of the upcoming Homecoming festivities.
During the meeting, Business Manager Frankie Tollett presented the district’s August financial report, noting a balance of $1,269,851.79 without CDs and $1,342,887.36 with CDs, bringing the total fund balance to $2,005,702.05. The board unanimously approved the financial report as presented.
In addition to finances, the board approved two disclosure statements related to Homecoming preparations.
Donna Dixon will be responsible for decorations and was approved without a vote from Board President William Dixon due to the relationship.
Ashley Thomas was also approved to make mums for the event, with Board Member Barnardo Thomas abstaining from the vote.
The board also approved the 2025–2026 school budget and made updates to the salary schedule by adding pay for chain crew, gate, concession, clock keeper, pee-wee officials, arena cleaning, and announcers who assist during football games.
Principal Stacy Gaddis gave a report on interim testing and shared takeaways from a recent principals’ meeting she attended.
Gaddis also stated that homecoming is set for next Friday, October 10th.
