Mineral Springs School District hires staff for 2023-2024 School year

Monday evening, the Mineral Springs School District approved a motion to hire 5 employees for the 2023-2024 school year. The new employees are Heath Harrison, Aubrie Lance, Casey Long, Lizeth Chavelo, and Daniel Gentry. There was a motion made by board members Mike Erwin and seconded by Ray Hawkins to accept the new hires. The board also approved a motion to accept the resignations of Samantha Humphries, Janet Cook, Jewel Worthington, and Jeremy Lee. The motion was made by board members William Dixon and seconded by Shelia Jackson to accept those resignations. All were in favor of the motion.

Also, during the meeting, Superintendent Billy Lee presented the next item on the agenda that was in regard to election of new officers for 2023/2024 school year his only request was to leave Mike Erwin as the treasurer. There was a 4 to 2 vote to keep the Mineral Springs School Board the same which keeps Dorothy Vaughn as president, William Dixon as Vice President, Shelia Jackson as the Secretary, and Mike Erwin as the Treasurer.
