Mineral Springs School District plans to remodel football stadium

The Mineral Springs School Board held their regular monthly meeting Monday.

Board members approved a motion to hire Architecture Plus Inc which was represented by Craig Boon and Scott Howard as the Construction Manager of Doyle Howard Construction, who would be the one in charge of the stadium project and in charge of getting bids. Superintendent Billy Lee presented to the board the plans for the stadium remodel project.

There was a motion made by Ray Hawkins and seconded by Mike Erwin to approve remodeling the stadium. All were in favor of the motion.

Lee also discussed how he plans to use the Safety Grant that was given by the government in the amount of $84,000.

Board members also approved the 2023-2024 Calendar, the proposed 2023-2024 Salary Schedule, the approval of staff bonus for non-qualifying High Priority Bonus, and to rehire all classified staff. The Mineral Springs School District had a total of 2 resignations and 1 new hire that was approved by the board.
