Mineral Springs Softball Drops 5-3 Decision at De Queen

The Mineral Springs Lady Hornets dropped a 5 to 3 decision on the softball diamond Thursday afternoon in De Queen.

The Lady Hornets led 3 to 0 going into the bottom half of the fifth inning. But De Queen put five runs on the board in that frame to rally for the victory.

Zoey Lockeby pitched a great game for Mineral Springs. She allowed only one earned run while striking out 13.

At the plate, Kadynce Harris had two hits. McKenzie Chennault had a single and a run scored. Jordyn Piggee had a hit and an RBI. Kaylan Neal added a double as the Lady Hornets fell to 1 and 1 on the season.
