Mineral Springs Treasurer named to the 2024 Municipal Clerks Honor Roll

Yesterday, KMTB and KNAS had the opportunity to speak with the City of Mineral Springs Treasurer Denise Juniel.

The City of Mineral Springs announced this week that Juniel has been named to the 2024 Municipal Clerks Honor Roll. Juniel is one of 311 municipal clerks who made this year’s list from 38 states. Juniel expressed how honored she was to be chosen and named to the 2024 Municipal Clerks Honor Roll.

General Code created and began hosting this special recognition program in 2001 to honor the unsung heroes of communities in the United States. It gives municipal officials, private citizens, and other colleagues the opportunity to acknowledge and pay tribute to the municipal clerks who give so much to their communities every day. The program originally ran from 2001 to 2010 and in 2019 it was reintroduced to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Municipal Clerks Week.

Juniel shared that she started as an administrative assistant at the police department and although she didn’t see herself taking on the role as the city’s treasurer, she was glad to take on this role to help the community.

In conclusion, Juniel talked about what activities have been going on in her community and she announced what event she will be hosting next month.
