Moderate danger for wildfires
Low humidity, breezy conditions, and a lack of rainfall in recent days has resulted in an unusually increased wildfire danger across parts of the area. According to the Arkansas Forestry Commission, roughly the northwestern half of the state has at least a moderate danger of wildfires at the current time. This includes Howard, Pike and Sevier counties.
The conditions could at least briefly improve by tomorrow morning, if the forecast rainfall for this evening materializes. So far this month, Nashville has recorded less than a tenth of an inch of rainfall.
