Modern Gun Date Changes for Ozan WMA

A change of dates concerning deer season has been made on the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s website. These changes are specific to the Ozan Wildlife Management Area.

The Ozan WMA page recently indicated that the Modern Gun dates for the 2021-22 deer season were to coincide with those of the Muzzleloader season. The muzzleloader season is currently ongoing and is set to end this coming Sunday, October 24th. The correction was made yesterday afternoon and now reflects the correct date being November 13th – December 19th.

So if you had plans to take a trip out to Ozan this weekend and enjoy an early modern gun season, you might think twice. The countdown continues for the modern gun season with 22 days remaining until opening day.
