More awards from Nashville Chamber of Commerce Banquet
Three of the awards presented at Monday’s Nashville Chamber of Commerce banquet were given by Nashville School District Superintendent Doug Graham. He presented a Scrapper Pride award to longtime district employee Johnny Wilson. Superintendent Graham says Wilson is a friend of everybody and is best known for his 50 seasons of being the voice of Scrapper Stadium:
Next, Graham presented retiring Primary Art Teacher Patricia Elliot with the Orange and Black Award. Elliot plans to retire this summer, having spent 38 and a half years as a teacher:
The last group to receive recognition was the National Champion N.H.S. Cheerleading squad. Superintendent Graham says most people don’t realize how much time and effort is spent on becoming a cheerleader:
During the commercial business recognition, seven businesses were honored as remodeled business…and three others, PATAcakes, Cossatot Propane and Unleashed Dog Hotel, were honored as new businesses from the past year.
