MS Police Chief discusses curfew hours at council meeting
The Mineral Springs City Council Aldermen held their regular monthly meeting, but it was adjourned due to the lack of a quorum.
The Aldermen in attendance permitted Police Chief Francisco Mercado to speak about recent developments within the Mineral Springs Police Department.
Chief Mercado announced that the department had received a grant and outlined the intended use for the funds.
He also revealed plans to install a drug drop-off box, providing a place for citizens to dispose of unneeded medications.
Concluding his address, Chief Mercado informed the council about the enforcement of a curfew for minors under 18, specifying the hours for weekdays, weekends during summer, and school nights.
He concluded by noting that updated information would be available on the Mineral Springs Police Department’s Facebook page.
