Murfreesboro City Council

Murfreesboro City Council met Monday evening in a quick session due to the absence of Mayor Rodney Fagan. This meeting was conducted by City Recorder Penny Lamb. During this short session, aldermen discussed the need for a grant to help with the city’s drainage issues. Council members also discussed engineering fees for the sidewalk project with the cost being 50 thousand dollars, in addition to the city’s 20 percent matching. Council members also approved the hiring of 2 part time workers for this summer in the street department.
