Murfreesboro Man Dies in Wreck

A two-vehicle crash last Thursday morning on U.S. 84 in Bismarck has claimed the life of a Murfreesboro man. Richard Allen Collins was driving eastbound at 11:18am in his 1989 Peterbilt tractor-trailer when Brittany Carrol Fowler, 37, of Aurora, driving the Dodge Avenger in front of him made a U-turn. Collins attempted to avoid the vehicle but struck the rear driver’s side and proceeded to overturn in a ditch, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police. Collins was pronounced dead at the scene. Fowler was injured in the crash, along with two unnamed minor passengers, according to the report.

The conditions at the time of the crash were clear and dry, according to the State Police report.
