Murfreesboro Rattlers head coach discuss upcoming season
The Murfreesboro Rattlers held their 2024 media day last Saturday at the Pit.
Head coach Brad Chesshir mentioned his Rattlers were already to look across the line at some different colored jerseys. After missing the playoffs in 2022 with a 4-6 record, the Rattler rebounded last season by finishing 9-1 as the 7-2A conference champs. The Rattlers were knocked out of the state playoffs in the second round, but Chesshir feels his team is ready to make another run in 2A football.
The Rattlers will open the 2024 season at home against the CenterPoint Knights. They will play Fouke and Genoa Central on the road before opening conference play at Gurdon. Murfreesboro’s schedule includes a rivalry game with Dierks on October 11th, Junction City on October 25th and Mineral Springs on Thursday, November 7th.
