Murfreesboro resident arrested and charged with breaking and entering and theft of property
On January 8th, 2023 the Murfreesboro Police were notified of a stolen 1994 Plymouth Voyager at 715 North Kelly Avenue and a report of a theft from a vehicle at 205 3rd Avenue on January 9th .
It was reported the evening of January 8th, Murfreesboro Police received information that the Municipal Building at 204 East Main had been broken into. Officers suspected that entry was made into the building by prying the window trim from the back door then breaking the glass from the door.
As reported, Murfreesboro Police Chief Randy Lamb received security footage from Debbie Shukers of an encounter that took place at approximately 11:30pm on January 7th. In the footage was a white male walking under Shuker’s carport and in front of her house.
The suspect was identified as 34 year old Jeremy Allen Combs of Murfreesboro.
By January 16th at approximately 6 pm, Combs had reportedly turned himself in at the Pike County Detention Facility. Combs confessed that he was responsible for the break-ins and the theft of the van.
Combs was charged with three counts of Breaking or Entering and two counts of Theft of Property.
