Nashville Beginning Bridge Work

Preliminary dirt work has begun on a bridge replacement project in Nashville. Public Works Director Larry Dunaway says plans are for a new bridge to be installed at the 8th and Pope Street intersection near the primary school. Dunaway is hopeful the project will be complete by the end of the school year next spring.

Another bridge will also likely be replaced next summer as the city is scheduled to install a new bridge on Mt. Pleasant Drive near Wilson Field. Dunaway says that project will involve raising the bridge elevation to the same height as the foot bridge.
