Nashville Church Holds First Service In New Building
With state suggested guidelines for social distancing, mask wearing and other precautions in place due to the COVID-19 health emergency, the congregation of Nashville’s First Assembly of God held their first worship service Sunday in the new church building at 1405 West Sunset Street.
Sunday marked the first time a service had been held at the location since a fire destroyed the previous church building in January 2018.
While the seating distance restrictions are in place, more than 80 people will be able to attend the services. Reverend Terry Goff said when the church is able meet at full capacity, the sanctuary should hold more than 300 people.
Until the COVID-19 guidelines are relaxed, the church plans to only hold a Sunday morning service in their new structure.
At the invitation of the County Line Baptist Church, the First Assembly of God had been holding services in the County Line activities building.
A community thank you event is planned at the new church when health guidelines allow.
