Nashville City Park Director discusses grant at Rotary Meeting
Last Wednesday, Megan Floyd, the Nashville City Park executive director was the guest speaker at the Nashville Rotary Club meeting.
She spoke to the Rotarians about a grant that would allow the park to construct two new tennis courts and renovate the two existing courts.
Floyd also explained why the park wanted to build the new courts.
Floyd said the grant was a 50/50 grant and the Nashville School District had agreed to pay up to $250,000 for city’s portion of the matching grant. Floyd said if they are approved for the grant, the park could start construction in January.
Floyd also named the members of the park commission. The members are Donny Woods, James Reed, Freddy Horne, Deb Marshall, Vivian Wright, Dale Patrick, Jason Harrison. The two emeritus members are Deb Kinkade and Bobby Keaster.
