Nashville Departments Give Year End Stats
Monday afternoon, the department heads of the City of Nashville reported a few year end stats during the annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon.
New Fire Chief Justin Thornton announced there were currently 23 fireman on the department’s roster but two new firemen will join the department in January.
Thornton also reported Kip Miller was named the department’s Fireman of the Year. Derrick Brewer earned the Attendance Award and Cliff Petty received the Officer Choice Award.
Public Works Director, Larry Dunaway gave Michael Barton the Outstanding Job Water Plant Operator Award and Justin Kilcrease the Outstanding Job Water Distribution Award. He also named Steve Rhodes the Public Works Employee of the Year.
Dunaway also gave a report concerning the city’s water system.
Dunaway also gave a summary of street department projects.
Park Director Mark Dale gave an update on park activities and announced JR Witherspoon is the park’s Employee of the Year.
Police Chief Amy Marion named Christine Young the NPD Officer of the Year and provided a few year end stats for the City of Nashville.
