Nashville FFA Chapter
February 19th through February 24th is National FFA week. National F.F.A. Week was initiated by the National Future Farmers of America Organization — a youth leadership organization, and one of the largest in the U.S., to make a positive difference in the lives of young people by developing their potential for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education. This week we will highlight the schools in the local area and take a moment to recognize students that are involved in FFA.
Today we will highlight the Nashville School District’s FFA Chapter.
Members of the Nashville FFA Chapter are President Karsyn Archer, Vice President Chloe Turbeville, Austin Purvis Student Advisor, and Colton Gilbert who is the reporter.
Purvis explained what his duties are, how he gives knowledge about FFA and what he enjoys the most about being in FFA.
Turbeville talked about what she participates in. She said she loves the people, the environment, and is wanting to inspire other people to love FFA just as much as she does.
Gilbert said this was his first time participating in judging land and he described the process of judging.
Archer mentioned one of the things that she enjoys the most about FFA.
Nashville FFA also have an auction coming up on March 15th which will be held at NHS Cafeteria. They said they are already working on auction items such as a bench swing, hat racks, metal flowers, and more. Other events they have coming up are the fishing tournament and the FFA Banquet.
Tomorrow we will highlight the Hope School District FFA.
