Nashville Fire Department Celebrates Retirement of Four Dedicated Firefighters

The Nashville Fire Department recently honored four esteemed members who have retired after decades of dedicated service to the community. Alfred Neeley, Jerry Harwell, Jim Hamilton, and Terry Ray collectively contributed an impressive 125.5 years of service, becoming role models and pillars of the Nashville community.

Alfred Neeley served for 33 years, while Jerry Harwell dedicated 29.5 years to the department. Jim Hamilton and Terry Ray both committed 32 and 30 years, respectively. Throughout their careers, these firefighters have exemplified commitment and courage, often spending long hours away from their families to ensure the safety of Nashville residents.

The department expressed deep gratitude for the invaluable contributions these men made to both the Fire Department and the city as a whole. “We are incredibly proud of these gentlemen and will deeply miss their presence,” a department spokesperson stated. “Their dedication and service have made a lasting impact on our community.”

As they embark on this new chapter of life, the Nashville Fire Department extends heartfelt thanks and wishes them all the best in their retirement.
