Nashville High School Honors Student-Athletes and Musicians at Spring Signing Ceremony

Nashville High School hosted their Spring Signing Ceremony Tuesday, recognizing 10 seniors who signed to continue their academic, athletic, and extracurricular careers at the collegiate level.

Among the students honored were Kaitlynn Giddens, who will attend Southern Arkansas University for track, Dakota Dixon, who will attend Arkansas State University for band, Connor Crabtree, who will attend the University of Central Arkansas for band, Cheyenne Smith, who will attend Cossatot Community College for soccer, and Angel Watson, who will attend National Park College for basketball.
Head Cross Country Coach Mikayla Clift took a moment during the ceremony to speak about Kaitlynn Giddens and her accomplishments.
Nashville High School Band Director Jacob Happy also spoke about Dakota Dixon and Connor Crabtree, highlighting their dedication to music and the impact they have made on the band program during their high school careers.
Head Girls Soccer Coach Clarissa Brizo reflected on Cheyenne Smith’s growth and leadership during her time with the Scrapperettes soccer program.
To conclude the ceremony, Scrapperettes’ Head Basketball Coach Paul Dean spoke about Angel Watson and the work she has put in to earn the opportunity to continue her basketball career at National Park College.
School officials, coaches, family members, and fellow students gathered to celebrate the seniors as they prepare to take the next step in their academic and extracurricular journeys at the collegiate level.
