Nashville Jr Scrappers defeats Ashdown Jr Panthers
Last Thursday, the Nashville Jr Scrappers defeated the Ashdown Jr. Panthers 56 to 28. Quarterback DJ Jefferson would score the first touchdown putting 6 points on the board. The Jr Panthers would then attempt to score but the ball was tipped by Jacoby Hopson and the Jr Scrappers received the ball at the 13-yard line.
In the second quarter, Jefferson scored another 6 points on a rushing touchdown.
The Jr Scrappers would now lead the Jr Panthers 14 to nothing. Kishon Jefferson scored a touchdown on a passing play from DJ Jefferson.
The Jr Panthers scored their first touchdown, but Miles Hawthorne would score on a 65-yard run, putting the Jr Scrappers up 27 to 6. The Jr Panthers scored an additional touchdown before the half, but the Scrappers were still in the lead 28 to 12.
Jefferson would receive the ball in the third quarter and run the ball all the way to the endzone and the Jr Scrappers would have a total of 34 points.
The Jr Panthers would score but Jefferson would score two additional touchdowns making the score 49 to 20. Miles Hawthorne would score on a passing play by Jefferson.
Jr Panthers would score their final touchdown, but the Scrappers came out on top and brought the win home.
The Jr Scrappers will host the Waldron Jr. Bulldogs on the Hill. Kickoff is set for 7pm and B 99.5 will have the live coverage.
