Nashville K9 Officer Arrests Woman During Traffic Stop for Fictitious License Plate
On October 5, 2024, Nashville K9 Officer Greg Parker conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford Expedition due to a fictitious license plate.
According to the affidavit, the driver, identified as 39-year-old Ivy Weaver of Nashville, informed Officer Parker that she did not possess a valid driver’s license and had no insurance for the vehicle. Weaver further claimed that someone else had placed the fictitious tag on her vehicle.
It was reported that the on-duty dispatcher alerted Officer Parker that Weaver’s license was suspended and that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. In response, Officer Parker utilized his K9, Apollo, to conduct an open-air sniff of the vehicle, during which Apollo indicated the presence of narcotics.
Weaver allegedly admitted to Officer Parker that she had a hydrocodone pill concealed in a cigarette package within her pants pocket. Upon searching, Officer Parker reportedly found one white oval pill, believed to be hydrocodone.
Weaver was taken into custody and transported to the Howard County Detention Center, where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
