Nashville Man Arrested Following Report of Machete Threats in Howard County

A 39-year-old Nashville man was arrested following a reported incident involving a machete and alleged threats at a residence in Howard County.
According to the affidavit, on September 20, 2026, Deputy Cason Launius was dispatched to a residence on Mount Pleasant Drive in Howard County regarding a report of an individual outside the home making threats with a machete.
When deputies arrived, they identified the suspect as Omar Navarrete. Deputies reportedly located a machete outside the residence that was stuck in the ground.
Witnesses told deputies that Navarrete allegedly pointed the machete at one individual and threatened to kill that person. Another witness told officers that Navarrete pointed the machete at him and asked where he wanted to be cut first.
Navarrete was taken into custody and transported to the Howard County Jail.
According to the report, Navarrete is facing a charge of Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree.
