Nashville Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop
A traffic stop for expired vehicle tags has led to the arrest of a Nashville man on felony charges.
Officers say 43 year old John Mark Cox was an occupant of a vehicle stopped recently near Mineral Springs by state troopers for having expired tags. During the investigation, it was determined that Cox had a valid warrant for his arrest. Cox was transported to the Howard County Jail and while going through the booking process, authorities say a rag fell from Cox’s pants. Police say the rag contained a glass smoking pipe. Before continuing the process, officers say they asked Cox if he had any drugs in his possession and he pulled a container from another pocket. Inside that container, authorities say they recovered a plastic baggie that contained a crystal rock like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
