Nashville man charged with multiple felonies

A Nashville man has been charged with multiple felony counts following his arrest in late January. 21 year old Antonio Alexander was arrested when officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Carver Circle on January 25th. Reports say Nashville officer David Shelby noticed an individual putting clothes in a pickup, and as he approached to speak with the man, he detected the smell of marijuana. Authorities say Alexander told them he had the illegal drugs in his pockets. Officer Shelby said he recovered two plastic bags containing the illegal drugs from Alexander’s pants pockets, along with a smoke pipe & digital scales. Police say Alexander told them he also had additional marijuana inside the truck. During a search of the vehicle, police say they also recovered a handgun, suspected ecstasy pills, and assorted other drug paraphernalia items.
Alexander has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and for possessing drug paraphernalia.
