Nashville Mayor Discusses Clean Audit Following July City Council Meeting

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to speak with Nashville Mayor Larry Dunaway about the Nashville City Council’s July meeting, including the city’s recent financial audits.
Dunaway began by discussing the audit presentation delivered to the council by Leslie Winton, an associate with Wilf and Henderson.
Dunaway explained that the audit is conducted annually and described the process the city follows to ensure financial records are handled properly every step of the way.
He said the city received a positive audit report, noting that both audits were completed with no deficiencies or findings.
Dunaway added that the city’s strong financial position is the result of years of planning, including setting aside funds for depreciation and following sound financial practices that were established well before his administration.
We’ll have more from Mayor Dunaway as he discusses additional projects currently underway in the City of Nashville.
