Nashville Mayor Discusses the Nashville Police Department need for a New K-9 Officer

On Tuesday, KMTB and KNAS had the opportunity to interview Nashville Mayor Larry Dunaway regarding the recent city council meeting held on Monday.

In the second part of our interview, Mayor Dunaway revealed plans to purchase a new K-9 officer for the Nashville Police Department. He shared details about his discussions with Chief of Police Amy Marion on this matter.

Dunaway explained that the council had been briefed on the proposal last month and a formal quote was presented during the meeting.

“Officer Greg Parker will continue his role as the K-9 handler,” Dunaway confirmed. “Parker will also undergo a few weeks of training with the new dog.”
