Nashville Mayor Updates on City Council Meeting and Upcoming Projects
Nashville Mayor Larry Dunaway provided insights into the latest city council meeting in an exclusive interview yesterday.
During the discussion, Mayor Dunaway highlighted a key development: the approval of a $239,100 bid from Kimery Painting, Inc., based in Glenpool, OK. The company will undertake the renovation of the Water Storage Tank. Dunaway elaborated on the scope of the project and what residents can expect.
The Mayor also addressed how this project will impact the Nashville community.

In additional city council news, the Nashville Fire Department received a $3,000 grant from SWEPCO. The total revenue for July amounted to $877,821.48, while expenditures totaled $819,218.78, resulting in a surplus of $58,602.70. Sales tax revenues have also seen an increase, with the city’s sales tax rising by 7% and the county’s by 2%.
