Nashville Offers Text Option For Residents
The city of Nashville has a couple new ways of staying in touch with local residents.
Citizens can now sign up for a texting service that will notify them of alerts for things happening within the city. To sign up, text the word “nashville” to 91896. You’ll then need to type the word “yes” to a message prompt in order to successfully register. City officials say you can opt out of the service at anytime by texting the word “stop”.
Anyone with questions about city services or needing to report an issue can also now do that via texting. Sign up by typing the word “hi” to 870-455-9545. When signed up for this service, Nashville residents will be able to find contact information, report an issue and receive answers to frequently asked questions regarding the various city departments.
