Nashville Over 15 Inches Of Rain Above Normal For Year

Just over 10 inches of rain was observed last month in the city of Nashville with more than five inches of that total occurring from the Memorial Day weekend into last week. The normal May rainfall total in Nashville is 5.89 inches. Last month saw a dozen days with measurable rainfall including the heaviest 24 hour total at two and three tenths inches.

Through the first five months of 2020, Nashville has measured almost 39 inches of rain which is more than 15 and a half inches above normal for the year to date.

The above normal rainfall helped to keep temperatures below normal in May by almost two degrees.
