Nashville Parks and Recreation Director Presents Turf Plans at Developing Howard County Meeting
Nashville Parks and Recreation director, Meghan Floyd attended Thursday’s Developing Howard County meeting to discuss her plans to put turf of the infields of fields 3 and 4 in the baseball complex at the Nashville City Park.
Economic Development director Vanessa Weeks announced the Developing Howard County board will be launching a community survey on Wednesday, August 28th and it will remain open until Wednesday, September 4th. Weeks stated that they will get the report back on September 11th to ensure AEDI has plenty of time to make a good analysis of it. The survey can be accessed by scanning the QR Code on the flier. The flier can be accessed on the radio stations website on the news page along with this article. The survey asks questions about the quality of life in Howard County, including questions about healthcare, education, housing and employment.
Weeks reported she attended the Year 1 meeting of the Community Development Institute. Since Weeks was selected and sponsored she’s currently attending the Arkansas Economic and Chamber Executives meeting that will conclude on tomorrow August 27th.
Board members then voted to ask Nick Brooks of Weyerhaeuser in Dierks to serve on the Developing Howard County board. Brooks will replace Luis Maya who resigned in July due to family and business obligations. Board members went into an executive session to discuss the participation of board members and board officers. Board president Paul Britt said the board will discuss the amount of participation that board members are expected to do in order to remain on the board.
