Nashville PD Respond to Shooting

The Nashville Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on October 31, 2021. City officers responded to a 911 call at 7:06pm at 1009 South Ansley Street Apartment B. When officers arrived, they found a black male with an apparent single gunshot wound. The victim, Jalon Johnson, age 23, from Texarkana was a resident of this address. Howard County Coroner John Gray pronounced Johnson deceased at the scene. Johnson is being transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
