Nashville Police Chief Amy Marion Talks “Shop with a Cop” at Nashville Rotary Club

Yesterday, Nashville Police Chief Amy Marion and K9 Officer Greg Parker were the featured speakers at the Nashville Rotary Club. In part one of our segment, Chief Marion discussed the annual Shop with a Cop event, explaining its purpose and how the community can get involved.

Chief Marion went on to say that by the end of November, they will calculate how much money has been raised for the event and work with local schools to determine how many children can be included.

This year, the Nashville Police Department has partnered with the Fire Department to make the event even more special, and Marion shared how well last year’s partnership worked.

Marion explained that local schools select the children eligible to participate, and the department works with them to determine the best shopping day. She also shared that there are 17 officers dedicated to raising funds for this cause.
