Nashville Police Department Numbers For 2019
Drugs continue to be a focus of crime in Nashville. According to Police Chief Amy Marion, her department made 143 narcotics arrests last year. Of that total, 67 were for drug delivery. The drug arrests were just a fragment of last year’s activity. Chief Marion said her officers wrote over one thousand 260 tickets last year, worked 253 accidents, and took 737 reports.
In addition to the drug arrests last year, city officers took nearly 50 reports on domestic battery or sexual assault charges. Other cases worked by Nashville police last year included 70 thefts, 39 shopliftings, nine fraud cases, 13 forgeries, 14 burglaries, 15 breaking or entering, 12 criminal trespass, 10 violation of protection orders and a dozen for DWI.
