Nashville resident charged with possession of a firearm by a certain person

In October, the Howard County Sheriff’s office was notified concerning a person using a spot light and shooting a gun. When the deputy arrived, he discovered a vehicle with a headlight that was not functioning properly.  The driver of the truck was identified as 23-year-old Bryson LeBlanc of Nashville.  The deputy knew LeBlanc was a convicted felon and LeBlanc allegedly informed the deputy that he was shining a spotlight at a bobcat but did not fire a shot.  Later a deputy from the Howard County Sheriff’s office and an officer with the Arkansas Game and Fish went to LeBlanc’s residence to investigate the night hunting complaint. While searching LeBlanc’s residence, authorities discovered a plastic bag that contained a 380 pistol and a box of 380 bullets in the bushes behind his house.  LeBlanc’s wife allegedly informed the officers that LeBlanc had been shooting the gun but she didn’t know what he was shooting at. She stated LeBlanc called her and told her to get rid of the gun because the officers were coming to the house. She said she put the gun in the bag and threw it in the bushes.  After discovering the gun, LeBlanc finally admitted to shooting at a bobcat behind his house. LeBlanc was charged with possession of a firearm by a certain person.
