Nashville School Board accepts 2022-2023 school calendar
During the January meeting of the Nashville School Board, Superintendent Doug Graham presented the proposed school calendar for the 2022-2023 school year.
Graham informed the board that the district’s PPC committee was adamant that the district have a 5-day Thanksgiving break in November, a 5-day Winter Break in February, along with the state mandated 5-day Spring Break in March. Graham stated the first day of school would be August 22 and the last day of school would be June 1.
Last month, high school Career Coach, Amy Westfall resigned and was hired to teach 1st grade. Tuesday night, Graham announced UA Cossatot had hired Deanna Triplett to be the new high school Career Coach. He explained Triplett is a college employee, with the school district paying half the position’s salary. Her first day at the high school will be Monday, January 24th.
Graham also presented the 5 members of the school board with certificates of appreciation.
The 5 Nashville School Board members are David Hilliard, Jamar Finley, Nick Britt, Tem Gunter and Jerry Wilson.
