Nashville School Board Approve Bid for New Video Board
Board Members of the Nashville School District held a special called meeting yesterday.
Superintendent Doug Graham presented video board proposals from two companies, Daktronics and ACE Sports. The bid from Daktronics before tax was $741,638. ACE Sports bid was $772,231 and offered a $69,000 discount which brings the total to $702,703.54. There was a motion made by Board Members Nick Britt and seconded by Jamar Finley to accept the proposal by ACE Sports in the amount of $702,703.54. All were in favor of the proposal.
Graham also discussed sponsors and how proud he was of the Board approving his recommendation.
In other news there will be a send-off for the Nashville Scrapperettes at 9am Thursday.
The staff from Blytheville is informing Scrapperette fans that are traveling to the game on Friday that only clear bags will be allowed in Chickasaw Arena with the exception of diaper bags or bags needed for medical purposes, but these are subject to being searched by security personnel. Backpacks and large purses will not be allowed. Take your personal items inside the gym with you, don’t leave your belongings inside the vehicle.
