Nashville School Board Approves Handbook Changes
A number of student handbook changes have been made in the Nashville school district for the 20/21 school year. At the primary campus, the district will provide a Spanish translation for the handbook. There’s also been a change of information regarding breakfast for kindergarten and first grade being served in the classrooms.
At junior high, the changes when school resumes August 13th include the addition of a third lunch period. The lunch schedules at NJHS will include 10:55 to 11:25, 11:40 to 12:10 and from 12:20 to 12:50 PM.
Changes approved at the high school include a requirement for students who are traveling with the district’s career coach on a College Day to be required to ride the bus to and from the event. Otherwise, a parent will have to give permission to an administrator at least five days prior to the trip and sign a wavier of liability. Multiple students will not be permitted to ride together.
Another handbook change for high school deals with students who drive to school. Once a student vehicle enters the school campus, the vehicle will not be allowed to move once it is parked.
There were no handbook changes recommended at Nashville Elementary School.
