Nashville School Board Approves Key Decisions for 2025-2026 School Year

During Monday evening’s regular monthly meeting, the Nashville School Board reviewed and approved key proposals for the 2025-2026 school year, as well as several personnel changes.

Superintendent Doug Graham presented the proposed school calendar, which outlined the start of classes on August 4, 2025, and the final day of school on May 29, 2026. After some discussion, the board moved to accept the recommendation.

Following the calendar vote, the board unanimously approved several personnel changes. Todd Ledford was appointed as the new Offensive Coordinator and Teacher, Brittany Moore will join Nashville Primary as a Teacher, and Phylicia Chesshir was hired as a Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

Head Football Coach Brad Chesshir spoke positively about the impact Coach Ledford’s hiring will have on the team’s progress.

In addition to personnel decisions, the board also authorized the purchase of a 2015 Blue Bird Vision Bus for $25,000, ensuring transportation for the district’s students.

The next regular meeting of the Nashville School Board will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
