Nashville School Board Approves Turf Bid, Accepts Resignation at Special Meeting

The Nashville School Board held a special called meeting Friday to discuss bids for a turf project and address personnel matters.

During the meeting, Superintendent Doug Graham reviewed the bids submitted for the project and outlined the companies involved in the process.

Graham also highlighted the benefits of selecting the Sprint Turf predator version, explaining why it would be a strong option for the district.

Following discussion, a motion was made by board member Tem Gunter and seconded by Anthony Whitmore to proceed as recommended by Graham. The motion passed unanimously with a 5-0 vote.

In other business, the board accepted the resignation of Ashley Simmons as a fourth-grade elementary teacher.
