Nashville School Board Hears Update on Student Success Platform, Approves District Items

The Nashville School District recognized student achievement and reviewed several district matters during its October school board meeting.
Laken McAdams presented the Scrapper Moment, highlighting a new platform called Launch for Success. The platform is designed to help students stay on track to graduate on time.
McAdams said Nashville was one of only seven schools in Arkansas to have 100 percent of its eighth-grade students registered on the platform.
Board members also approved an updated easement agreement with SWEPCO. Superintendent Doug Graham said the agreement allows SWEPCO to use just over one acre of land behind the Primary School. The property is approximately 100 feet wide, and SWEPCO will pay the district $895.50 for the easement.
The board approved the district’s out-of-state general liability insurance at a premium of $541.05, along with legal liability insurance totaling $8,631.91.
In addition, board members approved an update to the district’s Artificial Intelligence in Education policy.
