According to the building principals report there are 577 students enrolled at Nashville Primary, 405 students enrolled at Nashville Elementary, 409 students enrolled at Nashville Junior High, and 478 students enrolled at the Nashville High School which gives the district a total of 1869 students.
Graham updated the board on the stadium lights. Graham stated that Geo had installed the lights but another company, outsourced by Geo, installed the controllers on the lights and those controllers have not worked since being installed.
Superintendent Doug Graham reported to the board that 29.73 percent of the budget has been spent and the district has an operating balance of $4,103,401 dollars and Graham recommended to the board to pay the bills.
There was a motion made by board members Jamar Finley and seconded by Nick Britt to pay the district’s bills. All were in favor of the motion.
Graham also advised the board that he would like to look into the pros and cons of the district going to a 4-day week. Graham stated that he wants to look at test scores and see if those operating under a 4-day week are maintaining test scores or if they are being negatively impacted.
In conclusion, Graham informed the board that the next school board meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at 5:30pm.
