Nashville School District Board Meeting
Members of the Nashville School Board held their regular monthly meeting Monday evening.
During the meeting, the board approved a motion to accept the resignations of NJHS Teacher Jerrad Jones which was effective on August 11th and Ashley Waldrop as bus driver. The Board also approved a motion to hire Kristi Thornton as the High School Secretary, Aster Cooper III as ABC School custodian, Mikayla Clift as Cross-Country Coach, and Todd Baxley as bus driver. All were in favor of those motions.
Superintendent Doug Graham mentioned to the board about the 2023-2024 School Budget and the funds that the district has recently received.
Board Members approved a motion to approve the 2023-2024 school budget as presented.
Graham also reported to the board that the total enrollment for the Nashville School District is 1,894 students. Graham also did a comparison to last year’s numbers.
In conclusion, there was a motion made by board members Nick Britt and seconded by Jamar Finley to consider the transfer of seven students to the Nashville School District.
