Nashville School District Hosts Signing Ceremony for Student-Athletes Part 1

The Nashville School District held a special signing ceremony yesterday to celebrate five seniors as they officially committed to continue their academic and careers at the collegiate level. Honored were Mason Honea (baseball), Landen Arbuthnott (trap shooting), Kennedi Scrivner (basketball), Taylor Watts (cheerleading), and Madison Nelson (band).

Athletic Director Bunch Nichols opened the ceremony, emphasizing the significance of the day for the students, their families, and the community.

Today we will highlight seniors Mason Honea and Landen Arbuthnott.

Baseball Coach Zac Stewart shared Honea’s accomplishments on the field, highlighting his stats and impact on the team.

Trap Coach Megan Stanton spoke about Arbuthnott’s dedication to the sport of trap shooting and his consistent work ethic.

Honea signed with National Park College to play baseball and plans to major in Civil Engineering.

Arbuthnott signed with Southern Arkansas University, where he will compete in trap shooting and major in Psychology. Scrivner committed to Arkansas Tech University and plans to major in Physical Therapy. Watts signed with the University of Central Arkansas, where she will major in Criminal Justice, while Nelson also committed to UCA and will be majoring in Exercise Science.

Tomorrow we will highlight Kennedi Scrivner, Taylor Watts, and Madison Nelson for their achievements.
