Nashville School District mailing out report cards, this Friday
The First nine weeks grading period ends today for students in the Nashville Public School District. At Monday’s October board meeting, Superintendent Doug Graham said tomorrow will be the first time virtual learning students will be allowed to rejoin the district for on-site education. Graham is expecting about half of the virtual method students to return to school Wednesday:
The district’s COVID-19 point of contact, Rick Rebsamen, said yesterday’s numbers for the school system had 3 students and 1 teacher currently testing positive for the virus. Two other teachers are being quarantined and there are 39 students being quarantined due to close contact. Rebsamen indicated the district’s numbers went up quite a bit yesterday. He reminded parents and students to be vigilant on symptoms and not just assume a runny nose is related to sinus problems as we enter into the fall and winter months.
With the first nine weeks of the school year ending this week at Nashville, Superintendent Doug Graham announced Monday evening, there will be no traditional face to face parent/teacher conferences for the district. Report cards are being sent home with students Friday afternoon, October 23rd. The superintendent indicated that district personnel will be calling parents of any student who has a “D” or “F” to schedule a one on one, face to face meeting to discuss the student’s progress. Any other parent who would like to visit with their child’s teachers, may contact the campus where their child attends & set up a time for a meeting as well.
