Ashdown Native Picked in 2nd Round of MLB Draft

LSU right-handed pitcher and Ashdown native Jaden Hill was picked in the second round of the MLB draft Tuesday by the Colorado Rockies. Prior to this past season, mock drafts had Jaden projected as a top ten pick. However, a mid-season injury that resulted in Tommy John surgery caused Jaden’s stock to fall a bit. Nevertheless, it was a memorable day for Hill as he sat down to visit with Jim Cross:

Again, Ashdown’s Jaden Hill was the 44th overall pick in the second round of the MLB Draft on Tuesday picked up by the Colorado Rockies, a pick which has a signing slot value of almost $1.7 million.
