Nashville Schools Purchase 1100 Chromebooks
In May, the Nashville School district learned it would be getting more than 485 thousand dollars in federal CARES ACT funding.
During the June board meeting held Monday evening, the district spent nearly 416 thousand dollars of that total. The money will be used buying 1100 Dell Chromebooks and one thousand protective sleeves.
Superintendent Doug Graham says the purchase will allow every student to have access to the laptops.
Graham said the district will likely use the remaining portion of the funds to purchase masks or other COVID-19 related safety items for teachers, staff and students.
