Nashville Schools Testing Readers Theater Program

The Nashville School District is testing a new program at the elementary school. Literacy students in Tessa Deen’s 6th grade class have formed a Readers Theater this year. Elementary principal Rick Rebsamen says the program emphasizes reading and writing.

Students who comprise the theater group have performed for other elementary classes this year as well as at the primary school. They performed last week for the Nashville School Board.

Rebsamen says the program may be expanded next year to include other classes.
