Nashville Scrapper Trap Seniors spotlight
Last Monday, the Nashville School District held a signing ceremony for six students. Three of those students signed to compete in shooting sports, Maddox Arnold who will be going to Southern Arkansas University, Rylee Jackson and Lucas Vilar who both will be going to UA Cossatot and shooting for the Cossatot Colts. Two band students signed to Arkansas State University to continue playing in the band Emersen Gregory and Ahmelia Williamson. Olivia Dean will be going to North Arkansas College to play with the Lady Pioneers basketball team.
On the next day, NSD held a second signing ceremony for four more students. Tyler Brown received a baseball scholarship and signed with National Park College, Janalyn Revels received a cheer scholarship and signed with the University of Central Arkansas, Aaliyah Hollins received a basketball scholarship and signed with National Park College, and Lexy Elmore also received a cheer scholarship and signed to Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
Today we are going to highlight the students that received trap scholarships. Coach Vicki Cook took a moment to share some stats of Arnold, Jackson, and Vilar.
Arnold stated that he will be majoring in Cyber Security and Vilar is pursuing a degree in Marketing and Business. Vilar added that he hopes to become an entrepreneur later on. Jackson said that she will be majoring in basic ag.
