Mineral Springs city council approves budget for 2024

Members of the Mineral Springs City Council held their regular monthly meeting Monday evening.

During the meeting Director of Public Works Eric Marks mentioned to the council about a notice pertaining to the residents of Mineral Springs. 

Marks stated that they have an ordinance established. According to the ordinance, homeowners and occupants of every house in the city must place the house numbers in a place visible from the street and is at least 3 inches high.

According to the notice, it states that homeowners and occupants will have 30 days from the date that they receive the notice to correctly number their home. 

Marks also informed the council about the 2 and a half acres of land that he had found on North Street that the city could purchase so they could have a designated place to haul limbs and brush to.

Marks discussed the benefits of purchasing this land if the city council approves it.

In conclusion, aldermen approved a motion to give Fire Chief Chris Hostetler the authorization to pay the bills at Cottonshed Volunteer Fire Department. Aldermen also approved another motion to keep the budget for 2024 the same and monitor it month to month to keep track of the revenue. All were in favor of the motion.
